not fostering houndies anymore

Since the first of the year, i have been asked to help out one of the volunteers with our rescue group a couple of times. Both times it was about foster dogs and then our foster coordinator sent me a nasty email. This latest incident was the straw that broke the camels back. I responded back to her email and said that i would no longer foster for the group but would be happy to help with transports and home visits.
With Dudley having left last night to go to his new forever home, i only have 2 fosters outside that will be moved by march 4. I dont want to be ugly but i dont want to be treated unfairly when i have done nothing wrong but tried to help.
I will continue to help out when i can and will continue to keep a helpful attitude but going out of my way is finished.
I am thankful to bhra for allowing me to adopt 4 basset hounds.

Dudley our lastest foster boy

A couple of weeks ago, we helped to rescue a basset hound named Dudley as we named him. He was red and white and has now been adopted by a wonderful family in Roanoke, Alabama. He is very sweet and loving and loves to play with his new basset brother, Fred. They even get depressed when they are separated.

Beasley has been adopted

Well yesterday morning, i brought Beasley with me to work so his new dad slave could meet me and take him home. He has a sweet couple to live with now and i am very happy for him. I got an email from the mom slave last night and she said that he had already made his way into the hearts of the other two dogs who are one great dane and one greyhound. he is learning the cats too but he mostly ignores cats so no problem there. He even got up on the couch which is highly unusual. I am tickled to death.
